Map
[edit]I modified the map to include Burnet County. However, I can not figure out how to post the updated map. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottolini (talk • contribs) 00:38, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Opinion: image
[edit]The image in the Primary and secondary schools section was recently changed to the AISD headquarters instead of Westlake High. Granted neither is a spectacular image and both are certainly appropriate. I would argue, though, in favor of keeping the Westlake picture (or something similar) instead of the AISD headquarters in Austin. Too often articles about metro areas tend to focus a lot on the major city in the area and de-emphasize the surrounding communities. My personal belief is that the bias should be the reverse. Since Austin already has its own major article that lots of people are going to read, the bias in this article should be toward the surrounding communities. That is not to say that we should not discuss Austin or even that there should not be pictures of Austin here. But if there is merit in having this article at all, it should be because there are interesting things to say and show about the communities in the metro area besides Austin. On that basis I would tend to prefer the Westlake photo.
